Delectable Reveries was founded back in 2016 by Vernika Awal. The personal blog was founded as a portal for narrating stories, long-form commentaries and recitations on food, travel and personal musings.
Founded with emphasis on the written form, Delectable Reveries has since branched out as a brand influence on social media, and by presenting festivals and interesting snippets of videos on food, travel and lifestyle across the city of Mumbai.
Delectable Reveries now lends expertise on the food and beverage industry via critiques, travelogues and visual narration. The blog presently engages over 40,000 interactions on social media, with over 15,000 active followers across its platforms.

The founder, Vernika Awal, started her career as a city journalist with The Times of India and Exchange4Media, before pursuing her own venture. She held a long-standing stint with America Online Limited’s India branch prior to pursuing a post-graduate diploma in journalism from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. She has been an active blogger for over four years, during which she has led Delectable Reveries to where it stands today.
Vernika is passionate about the culinary art, food styling, photography and travelling, as long as it does not involve too much aviation. She is a recognised figure in the food & beverage fraternity of Mumbai, and aspires to establish Delectable Reveries as the prime source of influential storytelling on the numerous aspects of the culinary arts and sciences.
